Trimetazidine treatment of unstable angina pectoris clinical observation of 50 cases

Objective: trimetazidine (TMZ) treatment of unstable angina and tolerability. Methods: 50 patients with unstable angina were randomly divided into conventional treatment group (24 cases) and trimetazidine group (26 cases). Conventional treatment group routine use of aspirin. β- blockers, nitrates and calcium antagonists, trimetazidine group on the basis of conventional therapy plus trimetazidine 20mg. 3 times / d, after 12 weeks of treatment in both groups of angina episodes and exercise test results were analyzed. Results: After 12 weeks of treatment. And compared to the conventional treatment group, trimetazidine group to reduce the number of angina attacks 56% (P <0.01). Nitroglycerin consumption by 58% (P <0.01), angina significantly improved (P <0.01). Motion duration of 20% (P <0.01), the total work of the movement increased 24% (P <0.01), ST segment depression motion to extend the time to 1mm 23% (P <0.01); while resting and exercise peak heart rate, and two product (heart rate × systolic blood pressure) did not change significantly (P> 0.05), no significant adverse reactions. Conclusion: trimetazidine with other drugs associated with unstable angina pectoris safe and effective.
