OBJECTIVE:

To observe the clinical efficacy of Jinhua Qinggan Granule in the treatment of pneumonia caused by new coronavirus.

METHODS:

123 COVID-19 patients were randomly divided into a treatment group (giving Jinhua Qinggan granules combined with conventional treatment) and a control group (only conventional treatment) according to 2: 1, of which 82 cases were in the treatment group and 41 cases were in the control group. The patients' clinical symptom disappearance rate, TCM syndrome scale score, hospitalization rate, Hamilton anxiety scale score, outpatient satisfaction score and incidence of adverse reactions before and after 5 days of treatment.

RESULTS:

There was no significant difference in baseline data between the two groups. The disappearance rate of clinical symptoms after treatment in the treatment group and the control group: fever 80.3% and 53.1%, chills 80.8% and 81.3%, head and body pain 77.8% and 66.7%, head and body weight 75.0% and 88.9%, fatigue 77.6% and 53.8 %, Cough 66.1% and 42.9%, sputum 85.3% and 46.2%, sore throat 77.8% and 60.0%, itching throat 85.7% and 75.0%, dry throat 83.3% and 100.0%, nasal congestion and runny 87.5% and 66.7% Nausea and vomiting were 83.3% and 71.4%. The hospitalization rates were 10.98% and 24.39%, and the incidence of adverse reactions were 32.93% and 0, respectively. The clinical fever, cough, fatigue, sputum symptom disappearance rate, TCM syndrome scale score and Hamilton anxiety scale score of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P <0.05 or P <0.01). , Head pain, head weight, sore throat, itching, dry throat, nasal congestion, nasal discharge, nausea and vomiting, the disappearance rate and outpatient satisfaction score were not statistically different from the control group (P> 0.05), but hospitalization rate Compared with the control group, there was a tendency to decrease, while the disappearance rate of symptoms such as head and body pain, sore throat, itching, nasal congestion, nasal congestion, nausea and vomiting was higher than that of the control group. The disappearance rate of symptoms was higher in both groups.

CONCLUSION:

Jinhua Qinggan Granule can significantly reduce the clinical symptoms of fever, cough, fatigue, and expectoration in patients with mild coronavirus pneumonia and relieve psychological anxiety.
