Five patients treated with hemodialysis had focal chorioretinal atrophic lesions. These lesions had not been noted before the hemodialysis treatment. Although the lesions resembled those of ocular toxoplasmosis and histoplasmosis, serum titers and skin reactions for those organisms were negative or within the normal range. Focal retinochoroidal lesions in patients receiving hemodialysis may indicate a possible sign of infection.
