We thank Dr. Masi for his interest in our systematic review and meta-analysis of the Multi-Biomarker Disease Activity (MBDA) score in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and for sharing his perspectives on the MBDA score. As noted by Dr. Masi, there have been few independent studies and cost-effectiveness analyses of the MBDA score in RA to date. We agree that these studies, and those evaluating psychometric properties such as construct validity, are needed to better determine the value of this test in caring for patients with RA.
