OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of therapeutic manipulation for tendon injury of tuina for chronic nonspecific low back pain. METHODS:A total of 120 cases of patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain with liver-kidney depletion and deficiency syndrome were divided into two groups according to the random number table method, 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training, and the observation group was treated with therapeutic manipulation for tendon injury of massage. Both groups were treated for one month. Before and after treatment, the scores of symptoms and signs of chronic nonspecific low back pain and Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA) Back Pain Evaluation Questionnaire in the two groups were evaluated. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared. RESULTS:After treatment, the total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group and 88.33% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The scores of Straight Leg Raise Test, pain and numbness, patellar and Achilles reflex, walking, tenderness, and life and work ability, and the total scores in the two groups were all increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of main symptoms, clinical signs and impairment of activities of daily living in JOA Back Pain Evaluation Questionnaire and the total scores in the two groups were all increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). CONCLUSION:The treatment of therapeutic manipulation for tendon injury of massage for chronic nonspecific low back pain can effectively enhance spinal function and recover the stability of spine, thus improving clinical symptoms and signs and effectively relieving low back pain.
