Efficacy of tylex-associated to a desensitizer in tooth sensitivity induced by office bleaching

INTERVENTION: Analgesics, Opioid Colorimetry Drug n total = 80 G1 ‐ placebo group (2 subgroups) n = 40 Participants should receive the placebo capsules that are given 1 hour before the procedure and every 6 hours for 48 hours. • G1A: hemiarked (element 11 to 15, and 41 to 45) applications of hydrogen peroxide 35% (Whiteness HP AutoMixx, FGM Ind., Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brasil) with desensitizing (Desensibilize Nano P, FGM Ind., Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil). • G1B: hemiarked (element 21 to 25, and 31 to 35) applications of hydrogen peroxide 35% without desensitizing (application of prophylactic paste). G2 ‐ Opioid analgesic group (2 subgroups) n=40 Patients receiving codeine phosphate capsules 30mg / paracetamol 500mg are given 1 hour before the procedure and every 6 hours for 48 hours. •G2A: hemiarked (elements 11 to 15, and 41 to 45) applications of hydrogen peroxide 35% (Whiteness HP AutoMixx, FGM Ind., Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil) with desensitizing (Desensibilize Nano P, FGM Ind., Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil). • G2B: hemiarked (elements 21 to 25, and 31 to 35): applications of hydrogen peroxide 35% without desensitizing (application of prophylactic paste). Other CONDITION: Dentin Sensitivity Dentin Sensitivity ; Dentin Sensitivity PRIMARY OUTCOME: Codeine phosphate 30mg/paracetamol 500mg administered 1 hour prior to tooth bleaching and every 6 hours for 48 hours in combination with desensitizing agent may reduce the risk and/or intensity of dental sensitivity levels induced by office bleaching. SECONDARY OUTCOME: The coloration of the teeth will not be affected by the tested therapy of codeine phosphate 30mg/paracetamol 500mg in combination with the desensitizer, that is, the effectiveness of the whitening will be maintained. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Patients should be at least 18 years of age; good general and oral health; upper anterior teeth with no restorations; never bleached before.
