Pre Anaesthesia checkup smartphone applicationPAC-App for better patient care

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: PAC‐ App: In PAC‐ app group, patients shall be explained about the various patient education videos and how to watch them. Patients shall come across educational content about anesthesia and surgery, rehabilitation videos (deep breathing exercises, incentive spirometry), instructions regarding medication and NPO reminders. Control Intervention1: Nil: Usual/conventional pre‐ anaesthesia care CONDITION: Health Condition 1: O‐ Medical and Surgical PRIMARY OUTCOME: To assess patient satisfaction with the preoperative experience using PAC‐App compared to traditional PAC process using Leiden Perioperative Care Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire score.Timepoint: Post operative day 1 SECONDARY OUTCOME: To assess patient adherence to preoperative instructions like NPO, medication complianceTimepoint: Post operative day 1 INCLUSION CRITERIA: Adult patients scheduled for elective surgery requiring general anesthesia, who can operate smartphones capable of running the PAC App, patients able to understand and provide informed consent scheduled for intermediate to high‐risk surgeries like thoracic, major abdominal, or orthopedic procedures
