Clinical Study of Acupuncture Treatment on the Sudden Deafness

The study is designed to observe the influence of acupuncture on the sudden deafness. The sudden deafness was treated by acupuncture combined with the trophic medicine for auditory nerve. The results showed that the effective rate (90.0 %) of the combined method group was higher than that (70.0%) of the single trophic medicine for auditory nerve group (P 0.01). The results suggest that acupuncture can improve cure rate of sudden deafness and can shorter the time of the disease. It has worthy of clinical useness and would be popularized.
