INTERVENTION: Device E02.190.525.906 Will be enrolled in this study 60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who will be randomly divided into two groups: Group (n = 30) and control group (n = 30). The Treaty Group, with 30 individuals, in addition to conventional medical treatment receive 12 sessions of Therapeutic Touch performed 3 times per week with an average duration of 40 minutes each session. The control group, with 30 individuals receive only conventional medical treatment and not receive sessions of therapeutic touch. CONDITION: C14.907.320.191 Diabetes mellitus, Diabetic foot. ; C14.907.320.191 E00‐E90 PRIMARY OUTCOME: It is expected that there is an improvement in tissue integrity score values of the feet, after treatment by means of a scale that consists of 20 indicators grouped into five constructs: skin and attached, blood circulation, sensitivity, tissue temperature and pressure plant. The scale values are measured on 5‐point Likert form where 1 refers to extremely compromised; 2, substantially compromised; 3, moderately compromised; 4, slightly compromised; and 5, not compromised. Thus, the higher the score, the lower the commitment (SILVA et al., 2013) There was improvement in scores related to skin and attachment and sensitivity SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected that there is improvement in the treated group of biological markers related sensitivity (using monofilament test Semmes‐Weinstein), temperature plant (through thermal image) plantar pressure (through use of baropodometry) and glucose blood (through the capillary glucose) There was an improvement only in the biological marker of tissue temperature INCLUSION CRITERIA: Volunteer with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 diagnosed for at least five years; of both sexes; registered in HIPERDIA; medical care in the unit; over the age of 18 years; have at least one risk factor for impaired skin integrity, according to established nursing diagnosis "risk of impaired skin integrity" (NANDA,2013).
