Cancer in patients living with HIV/AIDS

Introduction: People with HIV infection have higher risk for suffering from certain cancers than people of the same age group who do not have this infection. Three of these cancers are: Kaposi's sarcoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma, cervix cancer. Objective: To deepen about the essential aspects of the most frequent cancers in patients living with HIV/AIDS. Methods: Bibliographic review about the types of cancer in seropositive patients. For this, several certified websites, electronic journals and books were consulted, using search engines. The results were presented through Office 2007 package programs such as Microsoft Word. Conclusions: It is important to know the most frequent types of cancer in patients living with HIV/AIDS.
