INTERVENTION: Cupping group The application of acrylic suction cups with a diameter of 4 cm and volume of 260 mL (Cosmos International Supplies, New Taipei City, Taiwan) will be used. The suction cup will be applied on the myofascial trigger point, using a manual suction pump to generate a negative pressure inside the glass cup. The suction cups will be applied for 10 minutes at the myofascial trigger point on the upper right trapezius and 10 minutes at the myofascial trigger point of the same muscle on the left. For the windsurfing group, 20 individuals will be submitted to ten treatment sessions, two weekly sessions, for five weeks. The sessions will be held individually, in a reserved room with adequate lighting and air conditioning. Ischemic Compression Group (IC) Ischemic compression will be performed bilaterally on the central location myofascial trigger point in the upper trapezius muscle. A gradual compression will be performed that generates pain that is moderate but bearable according to the sensation of the patient, corresponding to the END 7 score. At this time, the pressure will be maintained until the pain relieves about 50% of the initially reported pain, and the force in the compression is increased until the pain corresponds again to the END 7 score. Ischemic compression will be performed in 3 sets of 90 seconds each. Participating in this group will be 20 individuals submitted to ten treatment sessions, two weekly sessions, for five weeks. The sessions will be held individually, in a reserved room with adequate lighting and air conditioning. E02.779 CONDITION: C10.597.617.576 Chronic Neck Pain/ Physiotherapy Modalities ; C10.597.617.576 PRIMARY OUTCOME: Increase in pressure pain threshold, verified through algometry for a variation of at least 5% in pre and post‐intervention measurements. SECONDARY OUTCOME: Reduction of catastrophization, quantified through the Pain‐Related Self‐Statement Scale (PRSS) questionnaire from a variation of at least 5% in the pre‐ and post‐intervention measurements. Change in cutaneous temperature, assessed by infrared thermography from a variation of at least 5% in pre and post‐intervention measurements. Reduction in cervical disability, assessed by the Neck Disability Index (NDI) questionnaire from a variation of at least 5% at the beginning and at the end of the interventions. Reduction in pain intensity, quantified using the Numerical Pain Scale from a variation of at least 5% in the pre‐ and post‐intervention measurements. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Neck Disability Index (NDI) score>5 points and punctuation on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) > 3; Present bilateral and active trigger point, centrally located in the trapezius muscle descendent fibers.
