The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of the consumption of water treated with Therapeutic Touch (TT) in the healing of uniform wounds in the skin of mice. Data were collected in the Laboratory of Experimental Linphoproliferation and Physiopathology of Vasooclusive Diseases of The Medical School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil in January, 2005. The experiment included 60 males and 60 females equally divided in Control Group (GC) – which received non-treated water – and the Experimental Group (GE) - which received water energized with TT. Caring and wound measuring were advanced by different scientists. Every 3 days wound measurements on five fronts were carried out by a scientist (one of the authors) who ignored the animals’ group of origin. It was observed that average wound size in the GE was always smaller than that in the GC and that there is statistic difference among the measures obtained in the two groups. Conclusions show that the water undergoing TT can be a complement in wound treatment.
