Fever, cough and rhinorrhea were the most common symptoms among children tested for SARS-CoV-2 infection, regardless of whether they tested positive or negative. Given that symptoms such as headaches and rhinorrhea are common among school-aged children even in the absence of an infection, it would be important to determine the positive predictive value of these symptoms for COVID-19, particularly as isolated symptoms.
