INTERVENTION: This is a two‐arm, crossover, randomized clinical trial to be conducted with nursing students. The statistician responsible for data analysis will be blinded to the allocation of participants to the groups and the sequence of interventions. Thirty students will be randomly allocated into two groups, 15 to group A and 15 to group B, using a specific website (http://www.randomization.com) and performed by an external researcher, who will determine the sequence in which the participants will undergo the interventions. Control group (intervention 1): 15 nursing students will participate in two practical laboratory classes, following the institution's standard operating procedure, in which the following topics will be covered: gynecological consultation with a blind woman ‐ nursing history (practical class 1); and gynecological consultation with a blind woman with cytopathological collection (practical class 2). Each class will last 60 minutes, with a 7‐day interval between them. At the end of the second class, they will answer the Cognitive Skills Test. Intervention Group (Intervention 2): 15 nursing students will participate in two simulated scenarios, covering the following topics: gynecological consultation with a blind woman ‐ nursing history (scenario 1); and gynecological consultation with a blind woman with cytopathological sample collection (scenario 2). Each scenario will last 60 minutes, with a 7‐day interval between them. At the end of the second scenario, they will complete the Cognitive Skills Test, the Clinical Simulation Design Scale ‐ Student Version, and the Student Satisfaction and Self‐Confidence in Learning Scale. A 45‐day washout period will be implemented between interventions to reduce carryover. As this is a crossover study, participants will be considered part of the control group during intervention 1 and part of the intervention group during intervention 2. Students will also complete the Cognitive Skills Test before the interventions CONDITION: Uterine Cervical Neoplasms, Persons with Visual Disabilities ; Education PRIMARY OUTCOME: It is expected that nursing students' level of knowledge about gynecological consultations with blind women will be higher after participating in simulated scenarios than after traditional laboratory practical classes, as evidenced by the difference in scores obtained on the Cognitive Skills Test applied before and immediately after the interventions SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected that evidence of validity will be obtained from the two simulated scenarios and the Cognitive Skills Assessment Test regarding gynecological consultations with blind women, considering an agreement rate equal to or greater than 80% among the experts INCLUSION CRITERIA: Nursing students regularly enrolled in the 8th, 9th, and 10th semesters; having already completed and finished the course "Care Process in Sexual and Reproductive Health"; and being 18 years of age or older
