Effects of Music and fragrance on stress levels of Patients requiring wisdom teeth removal

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Transalveolar extraction od teeth: A total of 165 patient shall be included.o Group A â?? 55 patients‐ will be given ear pods to listen to instrumental music (played on piano ) used during meditation in addition to standard treatment of care through out the procedure. o Group B ‐ 55 patients ‐ will be asked to smell tissue with fragrant essential oils( lavender) in addition to standard treatment of care before the procedure o Group C â?? 55 patients â?? control group will be given only standard treatment of care Intervention2: Transalveolar extraction of teeth: Group C â?? 55 patients â?? control group will be given only standard treatment of care Control Intervention1: Transalveolar Extraction of Teeth: Group A â?? 55 patients‐ will be given ear pods to listen to instrumental music (played on piano ) used during meditation in addition to standard treatment of care through out the procedure. o Group B ‐ 55 patients ‐ will be asked to smell tissue with fragrant essential oils( lavender) in addition to standard treatment of care before the procedure CONDITION: Health Condition 1: K049‐ Other and unspecified diseases ofpulp and periapical tissues PRIMARY OUTCOME: Positive association between the variables shall indicate the success of music and pleasant fragrance as a potent anti ‐stress modality that can be made a part of regular stress reduction protocol later on.Timepoint: Assessment of Parameters to be done ‐ Blood pressure, Pulse rate, Respiration rate, Oxygen saturation shall be measured thriceoT0 â?? Before start of procedureoT1 â?? Immediately after end of procedureoT2 â?? 15 min after the procedureâ?¢Anxiety level to be asssed using corahs dental anxiety scale and pain shall be assessed by providing the patient VAS to be marked thrice:oT0 â?? Before start of procedureoT1 â?? Immediately after end of procedureoT2 â?? 15 min after the procedure SECONDARY OUTCOME: Music and aromatherapy can be standard of care for relieving patient anxietyTimepoint: Parameters ‐ Blood pressure, Pulse rate, Respiration rate, Oxygen saturation shall be measured thriceo T0 â?? Immediately after end of procedureo T2 â?? 15 min after the procedure INCLUSION CRITERIA: All patients who require Transalveolar extraction• Patients above 18 years of age.• Patients having blood pressure within the physiological limit on the day of the extraction
