INTERVENTION: This is a randomized, controlled, double‐blind, two‐arm clinical study. The sample will consist of 40 individuals diagnosed with chronic migraine, undergoing medication monitoring managed by a neurologist who is a reference in headaches, at the Integrated Medical Specialty Center of Parnaíba‐PI. Randomization will be in block and will define two groups. Intervention group: 20 individuals will undergo 10 physiotherapy sessions, using manual therapy techniques (joint mobilizations, muscle mobilizations, myofascial release and stretching), the protocol will be defined based on the assessment before the service and on feedback from the patient and will be recorded in the patient's progress record. Consultations occurred once a week, with an average duration of 30 minutes, within a 12‐week interval, according to the protocol described by Odell et al., (2019). Control group: 20 individuals with chronic migraine undergoing drug treatment being monitored at the Integrated Medical Specialty Center of Parnaíba‐PI, will only be monitored remotely, regarding adherence to pharmacological treatment, as well as complaints/characteristics of possible migraine attacks CONDITION: C23.888.592.612.441 Migraine PRIMARY OUTCOME: It is expected that the group submitted to manual therapy interventions will show better self‐efficacy in the management of headache compared to the control group. SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected that self‐efficacy is directly proportional to the improvement in the quality of sleep and life and inversely proportional to the degree of disability, intensity and frequency of migraine episodes. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Individuals between 18 and 59 years of age; of both genders; with chronic migraine diagnosed by the reference headache neurologist of the Integrated Center for Medical Specialties (CIEM) according to the criteria of the International Classification of Headache Diagnosis (ICHD‐3); in clinical follow‐up for at least three months and who present symptoms for more than 12 months
