Highlights of the educational psychology: characterizing Brazilian studies

OBJECTIVE: The objective of study was to identify and analyze publications on the topic in educational psychology journals indexed in SciELO and Pepsic database in the period in 2009 and 2014. METHOD: The data were collected from descriptor Educational Psychology, 82 articles were selected by following criteria for inclusion and exclusion. The data analysis was conducted by qualitative method of textual data with the assistance of IRAMUTEQ software (Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires). RESULTS: The results pointed to three principal thematic focus: learning have concentrated their publications in 2011, 2009 intervention, in the field of activity in 2010. CONCLUSION: Building on these notes it is suggested that studies be developed to expand the discussion outlined in this manuscript and especially in relation the activities of educational psychologist in different fields.
