Leisure and (i) mobilities: reflections on inequalities in pandemic times

One of the social consequences of Covid-19 was the change in the dynamics of work and also in the form, quality and frequency of the use of available time. This article aims to reflect on the impacts of the pandemic on the possibilities of experiencing leisure. In addition to considering the recent academic production on this theme, we analyzed this problem from the perspective of the New Mobilities Paradigm. For some time now, the debate around "mobility justice" has been focusing on how the regime of intense mobility of the few presupposed the immobility of many. With the absence of government measures to successfully combat the spread of the coronavirus, social isolation proved to be a privilege in the Brazilian reality. In this sense, we try to point here to a new balance of mobility justice: the immobility of the few is only possible from the mobility of the many.
