OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of auricular point sticking combined with Baduanjin practice on blood pressure monitoring compliance, blood pressure and blood lipids of residents with normal and high blood pressure in Shanghai Yichuan community. METHODS: 118 patients with normal high Patients with high blood pressure were randomly divided into two groups. There were 58 cases in the treatment group, including 25 males and 33 females, with an average age of (68.90±3.999) years; and 60 cases in the control group, including 26 males and 34 females, with an average age of (68.90±3.999) years. Aged (68.45±3.657) years old. The control group was given health education, and the treatment group guided patients to practice Baduanjin on the basis of routine health education, and at the same time added auricular point sticking therapy, and observed blood pressure monitoring compliance, blood pressure, and body mass index ( BMI), fasting blood glucose (FPG) and blood lipid-related indicators, etc. RESULTS: After treatment, the blood pressure monitoring compliance of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). After treatment, the systolic blood pressure of the treatment group (SBP) was lower than that of the control group (P<0.01); the diastolic blood pressure (DBP) of the two groups were higher than those before treatment (both P<0.01); there was no significant difference in DBP between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment , the levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triacylglycerol (TG) in the control group were higher than those before treatment (P<0.01); the levels of LDL-C, TG and total cholesterol (TC) in the treatment group were lower than those before treatment; High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was higher than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (both P<0.01). FPG after treatment in both groups was lower than before treatment (both P<0.05). After treatment, the BMI of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Auricular point sticking combined with Baduanjin practice can significantly improve the compliance of blood pressure monitoring, reduce the systolic blood pressure and BMI values of residents with normal high blood pressure, and improve blood lipid metabolism
