The purpose of this research is to determine the importance of the time limitation in Art Education and its effect on the pupils' creativity in primary education. Nowadays, when the creativity is in the main point of the education, there is still a possibility for its development in the schools. There are a lot of factors which affect it, and one of them is, most certainly, time limitation – which doesn't provide enough time for a child to self-express; it gives a certain limit of time (45 minutes) for a pupil to express creatively. Due to the pandemic virus COVID-19 that ravaged the world and closed educational institutions in the Republic of Croatia, the research was conducted by online classes and surveys. The sample for this research (59 pupils) was selected from first, second and third grade pupils at Primary school Frana Krste Frankopana in Osijek. The results of this research show that the pupils enjoy the process of artistic creation regardless of the time component, although they would like to have more time for it - which confirms the hypothesis which it was based on. The results indicate that the time limitation in Art Education affects the development of pupils' creativity.
