INTERVENTION: This is a randomized controlled clinical trial type study carried out through face‐to‐face collection, through a physical questionnaire. The study population will consist of elderly people aged 60 years or older who are being treated at the Basic Health Units of the municipality. A pre‐test (brief pain inventory ‐ reduced form) will also be applied in the intervention group and control group to estimate the levels of pain caused by low back pain before the intervention, and after the end of the last session of auriculotherapy a post‐test will be applied , to assess pain levels after application of the intervention. The sample will be divided into two groups: the intervention and the control, through the distribution of sequential numbers between them, and drawing these through the tool www.randomizer.org, thus forming the two groups. Experimental group: 13 seniors where auriculotherapy with mustard seeds will be applied according to the low back pain protocol, using the pressure points: Shenmen, Subcortex, Sympathetic, Kidney, Lumbar and Liver. Control Group: 13 elderly where points not associated with the low back pain protocol and not associated with pain management will be used. Both groups will undergo the intervention for a period of one month with an interval of 7 days between sessions. CONDITION: C05 Low Back Pain PRIMARY OUTCOME: It is expected to find a decrease of at least 2 levels of pain in elderly people with low back pain, evaluated through the brief pain inventory ‐ reduced form at the beginning and at the end of the research SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected to find an improvement in aspects of life in elderly people with low back pain after the end of the research, which are evaluated through the brief pain inventory ‐ reduced form, measured at the beginning and end of the study INCLUSION CRITERIA: Elderly aged 60 years or older, of both sexes, who are being treated at the Basic Health Units, and/or attending the selected elderly centers and who accept to participate in the research by signing the Free and Informed Consent Term will be included.
