Objective: The purpose of this study is to detect the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with acupoint application to treat gastroparesis syndrome after gastric cancer operation. Methods: A total of 80 patients who underwent gastric cancer resection and developed gastroparesis syndrome after the operation were randomly divided into research group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was only given basic medication. The research group was treated with acupuncture and acupoint application on the basis of the treatment of the control group. Results: After 14 days of treatment, the average daily gastric drainage in the research group was lower than that in the control group. The time for bowel sounds to return to normal, the time to disappear from abdominal distension, and the time to return to normal diet in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with acupoint application to treat gastroparesis syndrome after gastric cancer is beneficial to improve the clinical treatment effect of patients and improve the clinical symptoms of patients.
