AIM to observe the clinical effects of WeChat platform-based continuity nursing in patients with hepatitis b cirrhosis. METHODS One hundred and twenty patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis hospitalized from October 2014 to February 2017 at our hospital were randomly divided into either a control group (n = 60) or an observation group (n = 60). Both groups were given traditional healthy education, and the observation group was additionally given platform-based continuity nursing. The quality of life, self-care ability and psychological mood changes were assessed and compared between the two groups. RESULTS after nursing intervention, abdominal symptoms, fatigue, systemic symptoms, activity ability, and emotional score of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Selfconcept, self-responsibility, self-care skills, health knowledge level, and total score were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION WeChat platform-based continuity nursing can improve the quality of life and self-care ability and reduce anxiety and depression scores in patients with hepatitis b cirrhosis.
