INTERVENTION: This is a randomized controlled clinical study with the objective of evaluating the skeletal, dentoalveolar and tegumentary effects of the application of a mandibular propulsor associated with a temporary anchorage device (DATs) in the correction of class II. The clinical study will include 22 individuals (between 15 and 23 years old) with class II malocclusion due to mandibular retrusion. Group I: Composed of 11 patients treated with propulsor only and Group II: Composed of 11 patients treated with propulsor and TADs. The research will be divided into two phases. The first refers to alignment, leveling and interarch coordination up to .019”x.025” steel using class III elastic. The second phase will consist of the installation of the mandibular propulsor and TADs bilaterally in the buccal shelf area. Skeletal, dentoalveolar and tegumentary changes will be evaluated by specific cephalometric measurements using lateral teleradiography before (T0), after alignment and leveling phase and before thruster installation (T1) and after mandibular thruster removal (T2). CONDITION: C07.793.494.630 Retrognathia PRIMARY OUTCOME: Class II is expected to be corrected in both groups SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected that the buccal movement of the lower incisors is minimized, enhancing the skeletal effect in the group with TADs INCLUSION CRITERIA: Brazilian nationality; conve Xfacial profile; presence of overjet; Angle Class II; indication of mandibular advancement; no indication of premolar extractions; presence of all permanent teeth except third molars; no indication of mandibular advancement through surgical procedure.
