Effects of a Therapeutic Lifestyle Modification Intervention on Sexual Functioning, Cardiometabolic Health, and Health-Related Quality of Life in Perimenopausal Chinese Women: a Randomized Controlled Trial

INTERVENTION: Intervention group:Therapeutic Lifestyle Modification;Control group:The usual care; CONDITION: Perimenopause syndromes PRIMARY OUTCOME: Health‐Related Quality of Life; SECONDARY OUTCOME: Female Sexual Functioning;Cardiometabolic health status;Pelvic floor muscle strength level;Resting heart rate, blood pressure; INCLUSION CRITERIA: 1. Perimenopausal women aged between 40‐55 years (Based on STRAW+10 criteria); 2. Non‐use of hormone therapy and psychoactive medication within the last 3 months; 3. At least 12 months of sedentary behavior (including not exercising regularly or being in a sedentary state =8 hours/ day that is characterized by sitting, reclining, or lying posture); 4. Self‐identified as sexually active; 5. Willing to participate and make a commitment to follow the whole session of the present program.
