INTERVENTION: Exercise Intervention Group: 35 healthy elderly people, sedentary for at least 6 months, without physical‐functional limitations that limit the practice of the proposed exercises. They will perform exercises based on the Pilates Method techniques on the ground, in dual task activities by associating them with simultaneous cognitive stimuli. There will be 24 sessions, in two weekly sessions, totaling 12 weeks, with an average duration of 45 minutes.Control Group: 35 elderly, will not perform exercises based on the Pilates method during the intervention period. They will be instructed to maintain the routine as normal and evaluated initially and after 12 weeks. At the end of the period, all participants in the control group will be offered the opportunity to perform exercises based on the Pilates method techniques in a new group. Other Primary Prevention CONDITION: Aging Aging, Cognitive Decline, Disease Prevention, Physical Fitness, Geriatrics, Cognitive Aging, Humor, Cognitive Dysfunction, Physical Functional Performance ; Aging ; Disease Prevention ; Physical Fitness ; Geriatrics ; Cognitive Aging ; Mood Disorders ; Cognitive Dysfunction ; Physical Functional Performance Cognitive Aging Cognitive Dysfunction Disease Prevention Geriatrics Mood Disorders Physical Fitness Physical Functional Performance PRIMARY OUTCOME: Improved performance in dual task and balance, measured using the Mini‐BESTest instrument (Mini Balance Evaluation Systems Test), improved cognitive functions of attention, memory and reaction time, measured through semantic and phonological verbal fluency, CERAD word list and the PEBL (Psychology Experiment Building Language) software, bringing health benefits to the elderly and decreasing the risk of falls. All tests will be performed at the beginning and end of the study. SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected to decrease cardiovascular risks assessed by body fat indexes, waist‐height index, body mass index, waist‐hip risk, and proportionality of body composition through Bioimpedance. Improvement of the assessed physical fitness variables (muscle strength, cardiorespiratory fitness) is expected through dynamometry assessment, sit and stand test and 6‐minute walk test. All tests will be performed at the beginning and at the end of the study. INCLUSION CRITERIA: 60 years of age or over; Medical releasing to the moderate physical exercise practice; Normal Mini‐Mental State Examination (MMSE) scoring (adjusted for schooling).
