ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 52 patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia and explore the clinical efficacy of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of novel coronavirus pneumonia.
METHODS: The data of 52 patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia discharged from the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital of Hubei Province from January 15, 2020 to February 8, 2020 were collected, and basic information, TCM syndromes, laboratory tests, treatment methods, etc. were carried out. Investigation and analysis, and the treatment group of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine (Chinese and Western medicine group) (based on the Western medicine group, the Chinese medicine decoction, Chinese patent medicine and Chinese medicine injection treatment) (34 cases) and the Western medicine group (18 cases) (administered Western medicine (Viruses, anti-infectives, adjuvant support drugs) clinical symptoms disappeared time, temperature recovery time, other symptoms disappeared rate, average hospital stay, clinical cure rate and mortality were compared. RESULTS: 52 patients were (54.00 ± 12.83) years old, male 44.2%, female 55.8%, the time from onset to hospitalization was (7.44 ± 2.99) days, the main symptoms were: fever 75%, fatigue 61.5%, cough 50%, other symptoms 34.6%; condition at admission: 76.9% for normal type, 19.2% for severe patients, 3.8% for critically ill patients; TCM syndrome types are: damp poisoning lung 30.8%, epidemic poison closed lung 25%, damp heat poison 21.2%, evil Thermal lung 19.2%, internal and external detachment 3.8%; laboratory examination found: lymphocyte percentage [(18.53 ± 11.01)%], serum amyloid A [(111.65 ± 76.98) mg / L], C-reactive protein [ (31.34 ± 21.99) mg / L], ESR [(22.60 ± 15.65) mm / h]; clinical symptom disappearance time of Chinese and Western medicine group [(5.15 ± 1.68) days], body temperature recovery time [(2.64 ± 1.31) days] , The average length of hospital stay [(7.38 ± 2.06) days] and TCM Syndrome Scale score [(13.29 ± 3.79) points] were significantly reduced compared with the Western medicine group (P <0.05 or P <0.01); other concomitant when the Chinese and Western medicine group was discharged The symptom disappearance rate was 87.9%, CT image improvement rate was 88.2%, clinical cure rate was 94.1%, and ordinary type was 5.9%. It was significantly better than the Western medicine group (respectively 53.8%, 68.8%, 61.1%, 33.3%) (P <0.05 Or P <0.01). CONCLUSION: The treatment of new coronavirus pneumonia with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine can significantly reduce the clinical symptoms of patients, shorten the course of disease, and improve the clinical cure rate, which is worthy of popularization and application.
