INTERVENTION: The study will be carried out through the evaluation of 128 patients in total, (64 patients for each group) using questionnaires that will be applied pre‐operatively, immediately post‐operatively and late post‐operatively. The study intervention medication of choice will be (Paracetamol 500mg + 7mg Codeine) given to the patient pre‐operatively, one hour before the procedure begins. The control intervention group will be administered Placebo medication. The capsules were handled in a compounding pharmacy, presenting the same size, color and shape as the chosen medication. Surgery will be performed on just one wisdom tooth in the mandible, which will be carried out by residents of the Surgery and Traumatology Program of the University Hospital of the State University of Ponta Grossa. Each medication was separated into different groups and numbered, in which they were stored in envelopes with identification 1 and 2. On the day of surgery, the resident responsible for the procedure removes a numbered envelope from inside an envelope where the study envelopes are stored and provides the medication to the patient. CONDITION: F03.950.750.500 Fear of Dental Treatment PRIMARY OUTCOME: It is expected to find a reduction in patients' levels of anxiety, pain and complaints with the use of preemptive analgesic medication, using the evaluation method through applied questionnaires where we will observe a reduction or not in the patient's stress levels. SECONDARY OUTCOME: It is expected to find that the use of medication improves the perception of the surgical procedure for the patient during the trans‐surgical moment, by reducing the levels of trans‐operative pain, through the application of questionnaires, where we will observe a reduction in levels of patient pain during surgery. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Young patients, between 20 and 40 years old; Both genders; ASA I and II (specific anamnesis questionnaire); Patients who need the removal of a lower third molar that requires making a surgical flap and osteotomy; Absence of signs and symptoms of infection at the site to be operated on; Accept to participate and sign the Informed Consent Form (TCLE).
