A look at permanent education actions in municipal health plans in a health region in the state of Pernambuco

Permanent Education in Health (EPS) is an integration of knowledge centered on effective and efficient responses to problems identified in a given territory and can guide the development initiatives of professionals and strategies for transforming health practices. The actions need to be listed in the management planning instruments and the main one is the Municipal Health Plan (PMS) which shows the direction to be followed by the Municipal management. This study aimed to analyze the planning of EPS actions in Municipalities in the V Region of Health. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, through documentary analysis of the PMS of the municipalities that make up the V Region of Health in the state of Pernambuco, for the 2018- 2021 quadrennium. From the research it was possible to verify the planning of EPS actions and their definition in the PMS, most of the municipalities analyzed do not present such data or present them in an incomplete way, which indicates the need to insert EPS actions in the PMS in favor strengthening changes in the work process carried out by health professionals.
