Primary end point(s): Reduction in desflurane consumption. Secondary Objective: Nil INCLUSION CRITERIA: Patients having a general anaesthetic for a general surgical or orthopaedic procedure. The surgical procedure should last no longer than 2 hours. Aged between 18 and 70 years. ASA grading as 1 or 2.
