Clinical trial to determine the Antidepressant effect of Nutool (Medical Irrigation) therapy in subjects with Depression

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Nutool Therapy (Medicated Water): Patient will be asked to lie on their back in supine position on bed and head should be kept straight. Decoction of herbal drugs having anti‐depressant properties i.e. Gul‐e‐Nilofer and Gul‐e‐Banfsha. Dose of drugs will be 20gm each in approximately 2 litres of water will be put in the equipment to boil and decoction is prepared according to the standard procedure and kept to cool for room temperature than poured in the vessel of nutool apparatus. By controlling valve decoction will be poured continuously on the forehead at height of about 0.5 ft for about 15 minutes and eyes should be kept covered by sterile gauze to prevent spilling of medication into eyes. CONDITION: Health Condition 1: F339‐ Major depressive disorder, recurrent, unspecified PRIMARY OUTCOME: Changes in Hamilton Rating Depression Scale (HDRS 17) Score in every week for three weeksTimepoint: Changes in Hamilton Rating Depression Scale (HDRS 17) Score in every week for three weeks SECONDARY OUTCOME: Improvement in the Subjective parameters assessed clinically by PsychiatristTimepoint: After 3 weeks INCLUSION CRITERIA: Age Group‐ 18‐65 Years Both Genders Patients who has score more than 7 in HDRS‐17 Patient who have agreed to sign informed consent and follow up the protocol Patient who are not taking any antidepressant medicine
