Perineural versus IV dexmedetomidine with adductor canal block for perioperative analgesia in total knee arthroplasty; a randomized prospective controlled study

INTERVENTION: group I ACB with the administration of dexmedetomidine Group P addactor canal block ACB CONDITION: ; Anaesthesia Anaesthesia PRIMARY OUTCOME: compare the duration of analgesia provided by ultrasound‐guided adductor canal block (ACB) with either the addition of dexmedetomidine to the block or given intravenously (IV) intraoperatively in total knee replacement surgery. SECONDARY OUTCOME: Intraoperative and postoperative hemodynamics (MAP and HR), total analgesic (morphine) consumption, postoperative Ramsay sedation score, resting visual analogue scale (VAS), and dynamic VAS. INCLUSION CRITERIA: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II Patient scheduled for total knee arthroplasty
