INTERVENTION: F02.463.551 SP6.180.632.301.331 This is a randomized controlled, mixed clinical trial with pre and post‐test design. The sample, consisting of 120 adolescents of both sexes, will be recruited from the Recife Campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco. Forty adolescents will be part of the Mindfulness intervention group, 40 of the Mindful eating intervention group, and 40 of the control group, which will receive health education interventions throughout the research. The groups will be constituted by random distribution of participants after matching gender, age, socioeconomic level, and education. Data collection will begin with the anthropometric evaluation under weight and height measurement, followed by sexual maturation staging through self‐assessment by the Tanner Scale, and then the (1) Sociodemographic and health questionnaire, which will characterize the population before these data; (2) "How is your diet? "which will investigate the eating practices; (3) Three Factor Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ‐R21), which will investigate the dysfunctional eating behaviors in the study population; (4) Kakeshita Figures Scale adapted by Laus et al. (2013) and (5) Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ), which will investigate the components of the perception of body self‐image of adolescents (dissatisfaction and distortion). The qualitative approach will be developed throughout the process of the interventions, through the adolescents' oral and written self‐reports about their perceptions of the interventions. The post‐test will take place one week after the end of the interventions and the follow up, 3 months after the end of the intervention, both in the same pre‐intervention format.
