INTERVENTION: Intervention1: CHOLOROQUIN: 250 MG Control Intervention1: MELOXICAM: 15MG CONDITION: MUSCULOSKELETAL PAIN RELATED TO CHIKUNGUNYA PRIMARY OUTCOME: PAIN VAS‐‐‐‐‐‐Timepoint: 24 WEEKS‐ ONCE EVERY MONTH SECONDARY OUTCOME: JOINT COUNT FOR PAIN AND TENDERNESS; JOINT COUNT FOR SWELLING; PHYSICIAN GLOBAL ASSESSMENT; PATIENT GLOBAL ASSESSMENT; HEALTH ASSESSSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE; PARACETAMOL CONSUMPTION‐‐‐‐‐‐Timepoint: 24 WEEKS‐ONCE EVERY MONTH INCLUSION CRITERIA: Patients of either sex and  20 years of age Diagnosis of clinically suspected Chikungunya (classical/ probable ) Chronic RMS pains of at least 4 weeks duration post febrile onset Pains with a score of 4 on painVAS in past 24 hours Patients not receiving regular anti‐ inflammatory drug or analgesic drugs Willing to come for regular follow ? up visits Signed Informed Consent and patient information sheet
