An Observation on the clinical characteristics of eyes in SARS patients

Objective:To observe the clinical characteristics of eyes in SARS patients.Methods:Inquired the prime symptoms of SARS patients,observed hyperemia of the conjunctival vessels and pesformed Schimer’s test.Results:The prime symptoms indicated:77 eyes ha afeeling of irritation in all 235 eyes,such as unsmooth ,photophobia,lacrimation and aching.Subsequent symptoms showed:187 eyes had eye irritation in all 235 eyes.Thirty-five patients sufferd from different eye diseases for example,chronic conjunctivitis and electric keratitis .Schimer's test indicated:22 eyes in one group.There were 8 abnormal eyes in the control group,6 ab eyes in glucocorticoid group and 10 diseased eyes in the traditional Chinese medicine group.Conclusion:The stimulation of disifectant and ultraviolet rays are main causes of conjunctivitis and reratitis.There is no relation between symptoms in eyes and SARS.
