Study on the Association between HLA-DRB1 Genes and Bullous Pemphigoid in Shandong Han Chinese

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the predisposing role of HLA-DRB1,DQB1genes in bullous pemphoid (BP). METHODS: We used polymerase chain reaction-specific sequence primers method to type HLA-DRB1, DQB1 subregion in the patients with BP of Han nationality from shandong province and matched that with the control subjects. RESULTS: The results demonstrated that DRB1*10 gene frequencies were significantly higher in BP than those in controls(P0.05 ). CONCLUSION: The results suggested that HLADRB1*10 might be susceptible gene in north Chinese BP.The combination of HLA-DRB1*04,DQB1*0302 and HLA-DRB1*10,DQB1*0501 forms a putative susceptible haplotypes
