INTERVENTION: Intervention1: GASTRIC LAVAGE: 10ml/kg stomach wash with normal saline in intervention group Intervention2: GASTRIC LAVAGE: 10ml/kg stomach wash with normal saline in intervention group Control Intervention1: no gastric lavage: nil Control Intervention2: no gastric lavage: nil CONDITION: TO REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF VOMITING AND NEED SUBSEQUENT GASTRIC LAVAGE IN TERM AND NEAR TERM NEONATE BORN THROUGH MECONIUM STAINED AMMNIOTIC FLUID . PRIMARY OUTCOME: outcome name‐feed intolerance.time point‐2hrs to 48hrs‐‐‐‐‐‐Timepoint: Need for (subsequent) stomach wash in the first two days of life SECONDARY OUTCOME: 1. Incidence of feed intolerance ; 2. Incidence of other aspiration syndromes; 3 .Duration of hospital stay; ‐‐‐‐‐‐Timepoint: 2hrs‐48 hrs INCLUSION CRITERIA: Normal term and border line term infants born through MSAF over a period of next one and half years i.e. from July 2008‐ December 2009 will be enrolled under the study.
