Clinical evaluation of Ion z glass ionomer cement restorations in children

INTERVENTION: Dental pulp capping: 60 teeth with carious lesions in the inner half of dentin were selected in children aged 4 to 7 years and randomly allocated into two groups: control (26 restorations made with Ketac Molar glass ionomer cement) and (34 restorations made with Ion z glass ionomer cement). Restorations were reevaluated at 3 and 6 months. Procedure/surgery Pulp Capping and Pulpectomy Agents CONDITION: Dental Caries Dental Caries ; Dental Caries PRIMARY OUTCOME: Ion z glass ionomer cement has higher biocidal principles than molar Ketac glass ionomer cement at the end of the 3 and 6 month survey follow‐up, measured by the United States Public Health Service Index (USPHS), ie fewer caries recurrence occurs in restorations. SECONDARY OUTCOME: There is a lower recurrence of carious lesions in restorations made with Ion Z glass ionomer cement as it is a biocidal material and improves the quality of life of patients. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Children who are 4 to 7 years old; IC signed by the parent or guardian of the child; TA filled in by the children; Present at least 1 deciduous molar with carious lesion on the occlusal surface, with radiographic depth in the inner half of dentin;
