Treatment with electrotherapy on sleep quality in postmenopausal women with urinary urgency complaints and sleep interrupted by the urge to urinate

INTERVENTION: E02.342.800 HP3.073.433.101 Intervention group: 20 women will be subjected to electrical stimulation of the posterior tibial nerve for 30 minutes once a week, totaling 12 sessions of treatment. Control group: 20 women will receive the placebo treatment, without active treatment. CONDITION: C12.777.829.866 C23.888.942.343.550 G08.686.157.500 N00‐N99 Sleep disorders, menopause, nocturia, overactive. ; C23.888.942.343.550 ; G47.0 ; C12.777.829.866 ; G08.686.157.500 PRIMARY OUTCOME: Improved quality of sleep observed by sleep domain and available King's Health Questionnaire, after 12 treatment sessions. Improved quality of sleep observed by the final scores of the questionnaires: Quality Index Pittsburh sleep (PSQI) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale, after 12 treatment sessions. SECONDARY OUTCOME: Decrease in the number of times the volunteer raises the night to urinate (nocturia improved). Improved awareness of the pelvic floor muscles. Improved urgency, due to better storage bladder for a longer time. INCLUSION CRITERIA: They will be included 40 postmenopausal women (over 12 months of amenorrhea); aged between 40 and 90 years; presenting urinary urgency and nocturia.
