INTERVENTION: E02.190.599.750.750 HP3.073.433.101 The massage consisted of a massage performed with a stick (Tiger Tail, USA). The bat used is 18 cm long and 3 cm in diameter, it is a portable plastic baton covered by a dense sponge. strain gages were installed on the inner rod of the rod making it possible to control the magnitude of the force applied as well as to record it at a man‐machine interface during myofascial release. The participant lay on a stretcher in the supine position with the back of the feet resting on a 15cm surface. The LMF was applied for a period of five minutes in the ankle foot flexors of each limb, and the limb order was chosen by lot via SNOSE. The frequency adopted was 60bpm. The mean force used in the myofascial release was 8.6 ± 2.2 kgf. For this intervention were randomized n = 25 of the total N of the search that was 50. This procedure was performed only once. For this intervention the participant was in the laboratory 15 minutes. The other intervention was sham was used as a control intervention, using a model ultrasound model SONOPULSE III (IBRAMED, SP). The ultrasound was used off, but without the participant's knowledge. The participant lay on a stretcher in the supine position with the back of the feet resting on a 15cm surface. The ultrasound transducer was slipped with pressure transducer gel onto the ankle flexors for a period of five minutes in each limb, the limb order being chosen by lot via SNOSE. This procedure was performed only once. For this intervention were randomized n = 25 of the total N of the research that was 50. CONDITION: G11.427.565 G11.427.690 musculoskeletal diseases; Muscle Tonus; postural balance ; G11.427.690 ; G11.427.565 PRIMARY OUTCOME: Our primary endpoint is the assessment of static bipodal balance, it is expected that after the massage there will be improvement in balance control compared to the control group receiving the sham intervention. The static bipodal equilibrium test was evaluated on the AMTI force platform (model BP400600‐HF‐2000; Advanced Mechanical Technology, Inc., Watertown, MA, USA) at a frequency of acquisition of 100Hz, participants positioned themselves on the platform above of a foam (Airex, professional exercise line, made in Switzerland) barefoot, with 10 cm distance between the feet (EL HABER et al., 2008), arms relaxed throughout the body and eyes closed, so that there was more challenge in the assignment.; Three series of 30s were performed with one minute of rest between them, being used for later evaluation the average of the three series. The platform registers the Pressure Center (COP), the variable measured in this study, COP velocity (COPvel), which evaluates the temporal qualities of the postural control, determining how fast the displacements were. After the pre‐test the participant was directed to the place where he received the intervention to which he was allocated, he returned two minutes later to repeat the test. The COP for Sham (control group) in the pre‐test was 5.3 ± 1.0 cm.s and 4.9 ± 1.2 cm.s in the post‐test. For the LMF, the COPvel obtained was 5.0 ± 0.8 cm.s in the pre‐test and 4.5 ± 0.6 cm.s in the post‐test. COPVE decreased in the post‐test in both MR and sham groups (p <0.05), but there was no difference between them (p> 0.05). Therefore, a significant decrease in COPvel values of the post‐test was found when compared to the pre‐test values for both groups with p <0.05. Reduced COPvel values mean that there was improvement in balance control, but the result was similar for the myofascial and sham release group.; ; ; ; SECONDARY OUTCOME: Secondary outcomes are not expected INCLUSION CRITERIA: Young volunteers; men; healthy; physically active; not drug users that affect strength or balance
