Purpose: To explore comprehensive nursing methods to reduce pain in patients after tonsil surgery. Methods: 240 tonsil surgery patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group of 120 cases each. The control group received nursing care according to routine nursing care after tonsil surgery. The observation group received nursing care based on routine nursing care. On the hospital, measures such as holding ice cubes in the mouth, atomized inhalation, music therapy, and relaxation therapy were adopted. After surgery, the McGill scoring method was used to evaluate the pain of the two groups of patients. Results: The postoperative pain level of the patients in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P<0.01). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing can reduce the pain of patients after tonsil surgery.
