Comparison of Audiovisual Storytelling, the Baby Panda Dental Care Mobile App, and Tell-Show-Do in Reducing Pain and Anxiety Among Children Undergoing Dental Treatment

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Group 1: Baby Panda Dental Care Mobile application: Each child will be allowed to play the Baby Panda Dental Care mobile application for 1 minute, focusing on the procedures requiring local anesthesia. The child will assume the role of a dentist and virtually perform various steps of the procedure. Following completion of the game, local anesthesia infiltration will be administered. Intervention2: Group 2: Audiovisual Storytelling: Each child will watch an animated short story for 1 minute, depicting a friendly character visiting the dentist and undergoing procedures requiring local anesthesia. Immediately after the video, local anesthesia infiltration will be given. Control Intervention1: Group 3: Tell show do (Control group): The procedure will be explained to the child using the tell show do technique for 1 minute. The operator will verbally describe the treatment steps, demonstrate the use of dental instruments, and then proceed with the procedure as explained. Following this, local anesthesia infiltration will be administered. CONDITION: Health Condition 1: K040‐ Pulpitis PRIMARY OUTCOME: Reduction in anxiety during administration of local infiltration following pre‐treatment using Audiovisual Storyteling and Baby Panda Dental Care Mobile application.Timepoint: Before, during and after local anesthetic administration. SECONDARY OUTCOME: Reduction in the pain perception during administration of local infiltration following pre‐treatment using Audiovisual Storyteling & Baby Panda Dental Care Mobile application.Timepoint: During & after local anesthetic administration. INCLUSION CRITERIA: 1. Children age group of 4‐8 years. 2. Healthy children attending the dental hospital. 3. Children who are willing to participate in the study. 4. Children who require local infiltration for dental procedures.
