Research on university students who feel anxious ahead of examinations. According to Campbell (2001a), another way that can be used to reduce anxiety is listening to music. Music is believed to have several benefits as entertainment, health therapy, fostering intelligence, shaping personality and for relaxation, and it can also reduce anxiety (Rasyid, 2010). The music used in this study is classical music. The researcher's interest in classical music for reducing anxiety is due, among other things, to music being one of the media most often used as part of human life. This study aims to test the effectiveness of classical music in reducing anxiety about facing examinations among university students. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach. The subjects in this study are students in higher education. The subject sampling method used in this study is purposive sampling. In this experimental study, the researcher used a Randomized Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design (Robinson, 1981).
