Study to Compare Microneedling With and Without Vitamin C for Increasing Gum Thickness in Patients With Thin Gums

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Microneedling with Vitamin C: Microneedling will be performed using a Dr. Pen ULTIMA‐M8 with a 16‐needle cartridge on the mandibular anterior gingiva (31, 32, 33, 41, 42 and 43) until pinpoint bleeding is achieved. Immediately after microneedling, injectable Vitamin C (ascorbic acid, 100 mg/mL) will be administered locally using a 1‐mL insulin syringe with a 30G 5/16‐inch needle. Treatment will be performed on Day 0, Day 7 and Day 14, with a total intervention duration of 14 days (2 weeks). Gingival thickness will be measured at the mid‐buccal point, 1.5 mm apical to the gingival margin, on teeth 31, 32, 33, 41, 42 and 43 using a No. 15 endodontic spreader and a digital Vernier caliper, with measurements recorded in mm. Control Intervention1: Microneedling alone: Microneedling will be performed using a Dr. Pen ULTIMA‐M8 with a 16‐needle cartridge on the mandibular anterior gingiva (31, 32, 33, 41, 42, 43) until pinpoint bleeding is achieved. Treatment will be performed on Day 0, Day 7 and Day 14, with a total intervention duration of 14 days (2 weeks), without Vitamin C administration. CONDITION: PRIMARY OUTCOME: Mean Gingival ThicknessTimepoint: At baseline, 4 weeks and 12 weeks SECONDARY OUTCOME: KERATINISED TISSUE WIDTHTimepoint: At baseline, 4 weeks & 12 weeks INCLUSION CRITERIA: Systemically healthy patients aged 18 years or above. Patients having a thin gingival phenotype. Patients with no malocclusion, crowding, fillings, missing or supernumerary mandibular anterior teeth. Non‐smokers. Patients with no blood‐borne conditions. Patients who provide written informed consent.
