Thumb-tack Needle for Subcutaneous Embedding in Patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

INTERVENTION: Acupuncture Group:Acupuncture;Thumb‐tack needle Group:Thumb‐tack needle; CONDITION: Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy PRIMARY OUTCOME: Nerve conduction velocity;VAS overall complaints, VAS pain, NPSI Total intensity score ,SES global affective pain experience,SES global sensory pain experience, DPNPI total score, SF‐12 physical component scale, SF‐12 mental component scale; INCLUSION CRITERIA: Patients with type 2 diabetes diagnosed with DPN; No adjustment of DPN‐related drugs within 3 months; SNAP < 6µV or nerve conduction velocity < 42 m/s); Fibula SNAP < 10µV, fibula NLG < 42 m/s, tibia MNAP < 8 mV, tibia MNLG < 40 m/s; No history of acupuncture treatment for peripheral neuropathy.
