Acceptance and Commitment therapy in insomnia

INTERVENTION: Behavioral : Patients with chronic primary insomnia were recruited from a university hospital between August 2020 and July 2021. Thirty patients were randomized to receive ACT‐I (n = 15) or CBT‐I (n = 15) were enrolled. Interventions were performed over four weeks, with four sessions of face‐to‐face therapy and four sessions of online therapy. The outcomes were measured using a sleep diary and a questionnaire. CONDITION: Diseases of the nervous system PRIMARY OUTCOME: ISI, PSQI,,GSES, DABS‐16 questionannair SECONDARY OUTCOME: PHQ‐9, GAD‐7, AAQ‐II , SWLS questionannair INCLUSION CRITERIA: The participants were adults over the age of 19 years who met the research diagnostic criteria for chronic insomnia according to the International Classification of Sleep Disorders – 3, and who were diagnosed after face‐to‐face interviews and structured questionnaires with a neurologist (JWS) in the outpatient sleep clinic at their first visit.
