Swallowing exercise and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) in head and neck cancer

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Mendelsohn maneuver: Patient is asked to swallow their saliva and feel the laryn Xthen Hold the Adamâ??s apple up by squeezing the throat muscles for thrice weekly for four weeks Intervention2: Shaker exercise: Lift the head of the couch after that bring the chin down to the chest thrice weekly for four weeks Intervention3: Tongue holds: Patient protrudes the tongue and gently hold the tip of the tongue between upper and lower front teeth.Then swallows saliva while thrice weekly for four weeks holding the tongue out between the teeth Intervention4: Tongue range of motion exercise: Patient is asked to roll and hold the tongue in backward position Pretend to gargle, holding the tongue in extreme thrice weekly for four weeks retracted position Control Intervention1: Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES): Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) thrice weekly for four weeks CONDITION: Health Condition 1: C00‐C14‐ Malignant neoplasms of lip, oral cavity and pharyn X PRIMARY OUTCOME: DysphagiaTimepoint: Base line and after completing the intervention SECONDARY OUTCOME: M.D. Anderson dysphagia inventory (MADI) ; European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire Head and Neck Module (EORTC QLQ‐HN35)Timepoint: Base line and after completing the intervention INCLUSION CRITERIA: a) Patient giving their consent to be a volunteer in the proposed study. b) Histologically proven Squamous Cell Carcinoma of oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharyn Xand larynx. c) Stage II ‐ IV by AJCC Cancer Staging Manual Eight Edition, 2017 d) Age mention 18 years and less than 75 years. e) Both males and females patients. f) Treatment will be started after 15 days completing Radiotherapy.
