Effect of acupuncture combined with Huoxue Xiaoshi prescription on ovarian function and volume of uterine fibroids

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the effects of acupuncture combined with Huoxue Xiaozheng prescription on ovarian function and uterine fibroid volume in the treatment of uterine fibroids. METHODS: 64 patients with uterine fibroids treated from April 2018 to March 2019 were selected as observation subjects, and all patients were randomly divided into control group (32 cases) and observation group (32 cases). The control group was given Huoxue Xiaozheng prescription, and the observation group was given acupuncture + Huoxue Xiaozheng prescription. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the observation group had significant differences in luteinizing hormone, estradiol, and follicle stimulating hormone (P<0.05). Comparing the uterine fibroid volume and uterine volume of the patients in the observation group and the control group after treatment, The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); comparing the symptom scores of the observation group and the control group after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Patients with uterine fibroids receive acupuncture combined with Huoxue Xiaozheng prescription, which can effectively improve the patient's symptoms, reduce the size of the tumor, and improve the patient's ovarian function. It is worthy of promotion and application.
