Carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common peripheral entrapment neuropathy and may result in sensory and motor impairment, particularly in patients with severe disease and thenar muscle atrophy. Progressive gamified motor rehabilitation using sensor-based interactive technology may provide an engaging approach to facilitate repetitive, task-oriented hand and thumb movements while allowing progression according to the individual\'s performance and tolerance. However, the effectiveness of incorporating such an approach into conventional postoperative rehabilitation in patients with severe carpal tunnel syndrome and thenar atrophy remains unclear.
