INTERVENTION: Exercise Exercise Movement Techniques Other There will be three groups investigated, two physical exercise interventions (adapted functional training and Pilates solo method) and a control group that will maintain their routine activities, it is estimated 20 individuals in each group, totaling 60 individuals in the study. The sessions of the adapted functional training and the Pilates solo method will be held at CEFID‐UDESC in Florianópolis / SC. Each session for each intervention will last 60 minutes, twice weekly, for 12 weeks with moderate to vigorous intensity. Functional training group: The practice will be performed through adapted functional training. The classes will follow in the following order: (1) Initial warm‐up (10 minutes): The sequence of movements in this session of the class will encompass broad to specific joint movements. (2) Main part (40 minutes): evolution of specific functional training exercises including strength, balance, power, flexibility, motor coordination and endurance. (3) Relaxation (10 minutes): Brief talk about each participant's perception of the exercises, as well as massage and stretching. Pilates Solo Group: Pilates sessions will be divided into: (1) Initial warm‐up (10 minutes): In which breathig, imprint & release, hip release, spinal rotation, cat stretch, hip rolls and scapula isolation exercises will be explored. (2) Main part (40 minutes): With evolution of specific movements of the Pilates solo method such as breast stroke preparation (hand by hips), shell stretch, abdomen preparation, half roll back, roll up, single leg stretch, obliques, one leg circle, among others included in the protocol. (3) Relaxation (10 minutes): Relaxation will consist of self‐stretching exercises using the ball and talking about each participant's perception of the classes. Control group: Individuals who are part of the control group will be invited to maintain their routine activities. Being contacted by phone every month at a date and time previously sch CONDITION: Parkinson Disease Parkinson's Disease ; Parkinson Disease PRIMARY OUTCOME: Evaluate lower limb muscle strength; ; Verified through Biodex System 4 PRO isokinetic dynamometer (BiodexTM Medical Systems Inc., Shirley, NY), used with individuals with Parkinson's disease (OBESO et al., 2002), will be used. The isokinetic strength protocol will involve the knee extensors and flexors with the dominant limb, the range of motion will vary from 0 ° to 90 °. SECONDARY OUTCOME: Assess cardiorespiratory fitness ; ; Verified by ergospirometry, it will be used to conduct the submaximal exercise test where it will assess cardiorespiratory fitness, indicated for populations with Parkinson's disease (OLIVEIRA et al., 2013). Exhaled gases and flow volume will be collected during the test and analyzed by calibrated metabolic system (Quark CPET Ergo, Cosmed, Rome, Italy) to provide oxygen absorption measurements. The test will be terminated at the predetermined value. Assess depressive symptoms and anxiety ; ; Verified through Beck Depression and Anxiety Inventory. It contains 21 objective multiple choice questions related to depressive symptoms such as hopelessness, irritation, cognition, guilt and feelings of punishment, as well as physical symptoms such as fatigue, weight loss and sexual interest. It is composed of 21 self‐reported questions that highlight somatic, affective and cognitive signs of anxiety symptoms. Assess the balance. ; ; Verified through the Mini‐BESTest test translated and validated in Brazil, it is a 14‐item test that focuses on dynamic balance, specifically early transitions, postural responses, sensory orientation, and dynamic gait. Its application takes 10 to 15 minutes and allows you to quickly and reliably track balance changes. Each item is scored from (0‐2); A score of 0 indicates that a person is unable to perform the task while a score of 2 is normal. The best score is the maximum amount of points, 28 (MAIA et al., 2013). INCLUSION CRITERIA: Inclusion criteria are defined as, participants with a clinical diagnosis of PD following the UK brain bank criteria (HUGHES et al., 1992); both sexes; aged 50 years or over; with stable doses at; at least two weeks; no change in medication; without any functional training or solo pilates for at least three months.
